Dallas, Texas … The Isenberg Center for Immigration Empowerment (ICIE) once again has an issue with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agent Tamara Harris. She has the gall to call a foreign national from China that speaks very little English an “ABSCONDER” because she left Dallas to live in New York and misunderstood what ICIE had told her. ICIE told the young lady she could move to New York but she had to report into ICE and fill out paperwork. We also told her that she needed to get an attorney since we are not involved in routine immigration matters. The young lady from China completely misunderstood these instructions and left for New York to find an attorney to help her report to ICE. ICIE was very concerned for her welfare until we got a call from an attorney in New York to say she was there and reporting in and he did not know what to do with her. We explained the situation to him and we agreed the young lady should return to Dallas. We immediately reported what was happening to ICE only to have ICE Agent Harris talk down about her actions. What Agent Harris does not know is that this young lady is a victim of human trafficking and her life and that of her family maybe in danger. The matter has been referred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for future action. In the meantime, ICIE has been watching over the foreign national of China and helping her out in this most difficult situation.
Agent Harris is the same person that recently told a foreign national of Mexico that her seven year old son could get adequate treatment for cerebral parsley in Mexico despite the fact that the young man was being treated at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. The agent totally ignored the fact that the young man is a citizen of the United States.
ICIE plans to file a formal complaint with the Office of Professional Conduct against Agent Harris. ICIE Founder, Ralph Isenberg, stated “it takes a cruel hearted person to have such a wicked tongue towards foreign nationals. Her actions are beyond immoral, they are amoral because someone so mean has no sense of what is right and wrong.”
